Questions

Where did the Selenium IDE Chrome extension go?

It was built on Chrome's old Manifest V2 platform, which Chrome turned off. Here is what happened and what to use now.

Is SideReplay made by the Selenium project?

No. SideReplay is an independent tool that reads the Selenium IDE file format. Selenium is a trademark of the Software Freedom Conservancy.

Will my existing .side files work?

Yes, files saved by Selenium IDE 3.x and 4.x open directly, including control flow, dialogs, frames and windows. If a step cannot run, SideReplay tells you before the test starts.

Can I open test suites from Katalon Recorder?

Yes. Katalon Recorder is no longer maintained, and SideReplay opens the .html test suites it saved, as well as test files from Selenium IDE 1.x and 2.x. How to move your Katalon Recorder tests.

My tests use runScript or executeScript. Does that work?

Yes. Chrome asks you to allow it once: open chrome://extensions, click Details on SideReplay and switch on "Allow User Scripts".

Does SideReplay send my tests anywhere?

No. Projects are stored in your browser. See the privacy policy.

How do I activate Pro?

After checkout you receive a license key by email. Open SideReplay, click "Get Pro" and paste the key. Manage or cancel your subscription any time from the link in the same email.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. If Pro is not for you, email us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.
