SideReplay is a Chrome extension for recording and replaying browser tests. We built it so that your data stays on your computer.
What stays in your browser
Your test projects, recorded steps, settings and run results are stored only in your browser's local extension storage. They are never sent to us. You can delete them at any time by removing the extension or starting a new project.
Web pages you test
To record and replay tests, SideReplay reads and interacts with the pages open in the tab you choose, only while you record or run a test. Nothing from those pages is collected or transmitted.
License keys and payments
If you buy SideReplay Pro, payment is handled by Polar Software Inc. (polar.sh), which acts as the merchant of record. When you activate Pro, the extension sends your license key to Polar's API (api.polar.sh) to confirm that it is valid, and checks it again about once a day. Polar's handling of your payment and contact details is described in Polar's privacy policy. We receive your email address and purchase details from Polar to provide support and refunds.
What we do not do
No analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no selling or sharing of data. SideReplay does not use remote code; scripts in your tests run only when you start them.
